Can I use a reverse water pump with only an alternator?

If I run only an alternator with a march bracket and the crank can I still run a reverse rotation water pump like stock? No power steering, no ac. The cheapy imatation march bracket has the tensioning rod. Do I need the ac elimanator kit to put a tensioner back on or do I need to get a standard rotation pump? Thanks

I believe you could if you have something like ac delet to reverse the belt on the water pump. If you run standard rotation pump it is alot cleaner and doesnt even require a tensioner...
