I have a 2002 mustang gt, i wanted to do a spoiler delete on it so i took off the spoiler and put tape over the holes so i could clean the grime off from under the spoiler with out getting water in the hole. But when i took the tape off the holes the paint came off with it! So i threw my spoiler back on. Even though with the spoiler on you cant see the paintless area, i still really want the spoiler off. Any idea what i could do? Is it just cheap paint of the trunk?

It depends if your car has ever been painted before, could be from a bad prep job in that spot.. The cheap way to delete you wing with out getting the body work or the trunk re-painted .. Is to get xmas tree plugs.. ( the push in type looks like a tree) You just paint those and insert them in the holes with a small amount of rtv to keep the water out. That way if you want you wing back on just pop them out bolt your wing back on..
