Normally I wouldn't give a shi$ about a guy like this but check this out.

Here is an 03 Hollywood Horsepower Edtition 03-0277 that just came up on ebay.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4540483927&category=6236

I won't bother cut and pasting the description but he claims he bought the car in 2003. Just read it.

Here is the ebay listing from when he bought it a month ago.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6236&item=4531994178&rd=1

Here is a post of his at Mustangforums.com from March 7th last month.

He didn't even change his Ebay i.d. from his post in that forum. Comments?

Why can't people just tell the truth at least some of the time.

I figure I would just post his new ebay description on the new listing before he changes it when someone else that can read like me catches on to him.

Notice that in his description here he claims to have purchased it in 2003 for $47,000. In that thread I have posted above he states he just picked it up last month for $30,900. :notnice:

Here is the description on the new listing for those who don't want to visit ebay.

See over 50 pics at http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?folder_id=1277696 You are Bidding on a 2003 S281 Saleen SC that is in absolute pristine condition. This car has only 1400 miles on it due to being driven only once a month. I am a car enthusiast and collect cars, but have no choice but to clear some of my collection. This car is a perfect 10 out of 10 in every category. The interior is brand new, smells new and looks perfect. There has only been passengers in this vehicle twice. The entire exterior is flawless and doesn't have one single dent or chip. This Saleen is in brand new condition because it is brand new. It has been garage kept since day one and had never seen rain. It has only been taken out to be driven and has never even been parked in a lot. I bought the Saleen in 2003 for over $47,000 and have only babied it since. I was planning on keeping it at the time of purchase due to it being extremely rare since it is the HOLLYWOOD LIMITED EDITION, but I am moving to New York and will have nowhere to keep it. There were only 17 of these made in 2003. This Saleen has the Saleen S281E rear wing, rear fascia, center exhaust and 18x10 wheels. If you are looking at Saleens, I am sure you already know plenty about them. A lot of people that are not educated about Saleens think its just a mustang with body modifications and a Intercooled Supercharged system but that is not true. Everything about this car is different thus coasting over $23,000 more then a GT. Here are some of Saleens Base Components: series IV screw type intercooled supercharger, Saleen "power-flash" performance calibration, Saleen performance air flow intake and filter, Saleen muffler and performance exhaust system, Saleen X pipe, Saleen variable rate front and rear springs, Saleen struts and bushings, Saleen front and rear sway and pivot bars and bushings, Saleen lightweight vented composite hood, Saleen urethane front and rear fascia, Saleen urethane side skirts, Saleen louvered side scoops, Saleen rear wing, Saleen "C" pillar roof, Saleen center exhaust, Saleen 200 MPH speedo/ white face gauges, Saleen close ratio shifter, Saleen leather shift knob, Saleen performance driving pedals, Saleen graphics and identification, Saleen painted inserts and custom door panels, Saleen floor mats, and Saleen racing style leather seats (10 way power). I invite anyone to come see this car. It looks great in pictures, but it is truly one of those cars that you must see in person. Saleen rates this car at 375 HP and 415Lb/ft of torque, but that is lowered due to insurance reasons. The Saleen is closer to 400HP and 440 Lb/fb. I have owned everything from 911's to AMG 55's and this car will compete with all of them as far as overall performance. With only 1400 miles it still is under the factory warrant until 36,000 miles. N.A.D.A quotes this car at $38,000 and that is with less then 12,000 miles so it is actually worth more then that. This car also has the highest resell value. Good luck and bidding and if you have any questions please email me.

    Sorry, it gets better.

Here is this fellow talking about how he just raced a 350Z and claims he had some problem with his car. Does not sound like he "babied" it like in his Ebay description. Huh?

    http://www.mustangforums.com/m_445921/tm.htm

    here's a cut and paste.

I raced a 350z today coming off an exit getting on the highway and I downshifted to 2nd and when I got up to 5100 RPMS there was a good 3/4 of a second of lag. Is it common for this to happen. I know it is very common in turbo cars hints the term "turbo lag." Also I was ****ing at 5300 RPMs just to be safe, it only has 1200 miles on it. The redline reads 5500, should I not go higher then that. i would like to know what is a highest I can go RPM wise. The car is bone stock as of right now. 2003 s281 SC. I aslo broke the gas pedal, and just went to saleen, the closest saleen dealership is over 100 miles. ????????

pretty sure i'd have serious issues with an AMG 55 or a 911...what a loser. and his power numbers are ridiculous for a stock saleen.

    Yea,

Well, the Saleen community is a very close, tight knit group as far as the enthusiasts go. Like I said earlier, I am just going to call it as I see it. I think his audacity is enough to call foul.
Why could'nt he just come out and say he did not like the car as much as he thought. It's a free country. If someone wants to give him 38k for it so be it. Just don't claim you owned it for two years and paid different.

For the record, this is the first time I have used this.

    LOL!
I just sent him an email asking him how it is that he states he has owned the car as long as he has when the same car was for sale by a different owner (I provided him a link to the auction as well).
Should be interesting to see what kind of response I get.

    What a tool!

yea, He should come clean. If not, he will bury himself with more lies. I didn't even bother torching him on the other forum. SaleenMike already did!
Ahhhh Randy, it looks like you had to re-join after all of those posts? That sucks.

We will call it the crash of 05.

Here is the response I got from him:

I understand your concern, but no there is no unstated history of this car. I bought the car brand new and three weeks ago my good friend Sonny at premier auto was going to help me sell it since I was leaving for Europe for three weeks. He owns a dealership and online seller, so I thought it would be easy for him to sell, but there was a huge miscommunication between what I would give him for selling the car and what I wanted for the car. For legal reasons he to actually buy the car from me in order to sell it through his dealership. I am the original owner and have the car in my garage as we speak. As soon as I found out what he was listing the car for, I made him take it off, thats why you didn't see it sell or Finnish the 7 day listing. He was trying to sell it for around $31,999 which is far too less. I hope you are now clear on the situation. If you have any other questions please let me know.

    Hmmmmm.

Sounds like the guy is a slippery fish. Here is the hole in his story ( e-mail response to you.)

    http://www.mustangforums.com/m_457951/tm.htm

If there are two different guys then on this other forum they are the same guy as SaleenMike pinched him this morning. Sad really. I guess I'm done with it.

Thanks to guys like you and Saleen Mike, someone might not get ripped off by this guy. I've seen a few times people come to this and other Saleen forums asking for advise about buying a car, maybe even a specific one, and I think its cool how people in the Saleen community help them out. :nice:

Anyway, this guy just shows why people have to be careful when they buy something off eBay, althought that's where I got my car. :) I did the homework on the car before I did; hopefully the person thinking about buying this guy's car will too.

That's why we are here, that and to :bs: with other fellow Saleen owners!! :nice:

....Ebay is where I found two of the four Saleen's I've owned. Sometimes the really good deals ARE too good to be true. Before you buy ANY car, you should always do your homework, although I was never really into homework in school :D
