That was a damn good recovery. Got's some skilz Bred. Most would have overreacted and hit the hard barrier in a grand display of bumper carnage.

I saw an 04 GTO have a near identical hook slip and he was carrying his bumper and pushing the goat back to the staging lane. Costly evening of carnage for that young man. Pleased to see you avoided that sort of evening.

Looks like you did better, rear still looks like it floated shortly after 60'. Makes you respect these vehicles eh?

Good recovery. I need to get cheater slicks before I do the same thing. I slam into 2nd too much for street tires. You can see in this video, the car definitely slides in the 2nd clip (2nd gear about 1:54 into it). (Yes, I know I was having bad wheelhop that night)

    Very nice save BRED!
In the 2nd video, you sure could hear the ricer, but was nowhere to be seen:rlaugh:
I once had an encounter like that in my '00. I nailed 2nd and she started going sideways, but I thought I could power out of it, but after deciding how stupid it was to try, I just let off the gas and she straightened out with no contact. There were a few runs this past time for me that I wish i had video of. I was going side to side the first 330'.
