OMG! It looks like whoever laid out these stripes used to have a job working for the highway department spraying the yellow lines....
i saw that guy ,hes the one that painted right over the dead possom in front of my houseOMG! It looks like whoever laid out these stripes used to have a job working for the highway department spraying the yellow lines....
Its not a biased opinion. Its a fact. Its easy for someone like you that obviously has never done any bodywork to sit there and say oh he should do it like this or he should do it like that because other than the magazine articles you have read you don't have a clue what goes into this type of work. To your comment about spoken like a true painter. Well that is what I do for a living every day so I dont know how else I would speak on the matter. Keep reading your articles and how to books and leave the actual WORK to us professionals.Definitely a Biased Opinion, and spoken like a true Painter! Maybe I was misunderstood , But I said , "first, give the original Painter the chance to make it right!" I just stipulated that it should be done the way the Original job was AGREED upon, and that if the deal was to change, it should be up to Glenn Ford to decide..... and If the painter didn't want to FULFILL his contractual obligations, then Glenn should take it somewhere else, and then let the Courts decide! I agree that a Good painter could probably fix the stripes by only Re-painting the affected areas, However a Good Painter would have never let this kind of Job leave his shop in the first place..... Would You?
Couped ,i agree with you 1000 percent and when were you in my front yard? pic number one is what was in front of my house almost exactly.Well young man..... You sure voice a lot of Opinions based on Assumption, and Supposition! You haven't a Clue of What I've done, or Where I've been! Yes I've done body work! and Yes I painted my first car 40 years ago! If I was to guess, I'd have to bet blind on the fact that I may have painted a car or two before you were born? You really should be more thorough when reading peoples post's, because if you were to go back, and Re-Read mine, you would see that my point was from that of Ethics. I've redundantly said that the job should be completed the way it was AGREED UPON! Obviously you're the type of Painter that tells your Customers the way their gonna get it, and they have no say in the matter? ........Good Luck with that!

"The job should be completed the way it was agreed upon" That is correct and he wanted his car painted and stripes added. Is this what he got? Yes. Were the stripes crooked? Yes. Can the painter fix it? Yes. Does the whole freakin car need to be re-painted? No. That is the point I'm trying to make. All of my customers are involved in any job I do and I prefer to keep it that way to avoid confusion. I have one job I have been working on for a year and a half and the customer has come by every Mon,Wed, and Fri since the job began. My customers tell me the way they want it but when it comes down to the actual procedure of how I will do the bodywork or how I will apply the finish its my call. What I'm saying is let the guy fix the and move on.Well young man..... You sure voice a lot of Opinions based on Assumption, and Supposition! You haven't a Clue of What I've done, or Where I've been! I just purchased some parts from Mustang Madness Motorsports over the weekend and asked them about this car. The price was 14k plus tax and a few additional parts . The work done was all 4 front fender aprons, radiator support and crossmember, shock tower repair kit, frame floor supports and trans crossmember, one piece floor, both torque boxes , nos door skins, rear 1/4 panels, rear wheel wells, trunk floors , rear trunk support , tail light panel, rear valance and ft cowl cover . Stripped remaining parts to metal and repaired as needed. It seems he also did well over 250 hrs labor for free , filled and smoothed firewall and all of engine compartment , installed frame connectors , panhard bar crossmember, and installed engine, headers , clutch and trans, rear end , all front steering and suspension and all brakes. The engine compartment is painted like the outside, all basecoat clear coat in top of the line ppg products. He has asked the customer to bring back the car so he could correct the issues and the customer Glenn keeps making all sorts of demands, and hasent returned the car to the shop. I just thought people should hear the other side of the story.....seems like the guy got atleast a 40k job for 14k , seems like he should give the shop a chance to fix it instead of slamming them on a forum. Just my 2 cents
Mustang Madness also supplied the sheetmetal and all paint materials in that price ,

people..........trunk lid comes off, ft valances come off, taillight panel can be masked off under the end caps..........no blend is needed, so its really not any kind of spot repair is it.........let the guy fix the car.......and from what I saw of cars at the shop the work is top notch !
