Cut Rubber Piece off of Clutch Cable?

    I made the mistake of letting a shop do my clutch cable for me, and wouldn't you just know they f'ed it up. I think the issue is that they didn't cut off the rubber part up against my UPR firewall adjustor. I sorta remember cutting that off last time I did this? Can anyone confirm this for me before I go chop it off. Thanks.

    The rubber does come off (the FWA displaces the space where the rubber was). Right now your clutch should be releasing the instant you breathe on the pedal.

    i would unhook the cable from the quadrant and then slide the rubber off, because cutting it off will leave that steel ring still on the cable..good luck and dont cut yourself, it freakin hurts
