  1. Had my follow up with the surgeon today...he's cleared me to return to work...."moderate lifting", whatever the hell that means...I go back Sunday!:D:D Tomorrow I'm planning on doing some (light) work on the 'stang...........:D

On that note....I oredered some parts about 6 days ago (by mail) from Mustangs Unlimited in CT....They were delivered TODAY!!!
   That was a quick turn around! :nice:

  2. When I need something from them..i just stop by on my way to or from school...haha

A couple times I have had to have things shipped from CT that they didn't have here, and it only took 2-3 days.

  3. "Moderate lifting" = nothing over 12 oz can. :D

sounds like the quick turn around was YOU. :nice:

Light work on the stang means watching someone else do it.

  4. I know you want to pound iron hard, but chill for a bit for a full recovery. I hate it when I miss a little time. I've been through injuries like a mad man (almost 2 months no liftine) and lost all sorts of strength off my bench and other lifts. I'm so ****ed, I'm thinking about now going for a new ridiculous max. This will no doubt lead to more injuries. That said, the only smart way to get back at it, is slowly. Listen to your doc and just enjoy being there. STIMULATE ..........NOT ANNAILATE.

  5. Sounds like good news... :nice:

  6. Tomorrow will be my first day back at work in three weeks! Never thought I'd say it, but I can't wait!:nice:

  7. Yes, I know the feeling. Even though you might not like work, doing nothing is worse after a while.

  8. I understand, believe me, having not had a "real" job for quite some time now (I haven't worked for anyone but the corps and my folks since april 18th, 2003) I don't know what I'm going to do when I actually have a regular job again.

Remember though, take it easy and get better quick!

  9. Well, since "tomorow" is now the day before yesterday; I'll ask how it went. Hope you didn't have to pick up any LOL's that fell from their walkers.

I get to go back home to Yuma tomorrow! :D

    Still Dreamin'

  10. It went well...I was surprised at how tired I felt when I got home though! And, NO, no LOP's fell from their walkers.....and actually when they do fall it is usually one of three scenarios.....1) They fell out of bed, 2) They fell out of their wheelchair, or C) They stood up.

I'm working again tomorrow (Wed) and then Thursday is my first treatment with mono-clonal antibodies. Chemo will start on the 15th..............:puke:

  11. Update

I had my first monoclonal antibody (MAb) treatment yesterday, all went well, but I am a bit tired today. Change in the chemo plans...I will start chemo on July 15th as planned, except we're going to use a different protocol which calls for an I.V. infusion over three days, so it will be done as an inpatient at the hospital. I had a variant of this chemo four years ago and even though it made me feel ill, I wasn't trying to evict my stomach.....I'm hoping it will pretty much be the same............

  12. good luck brother! I'll pray for you!

    Semper Fi!

  13. Here's a :D for a speedy recovery.

  14. I hope everything goes well.

  15. Damn....I hadn't realized how uncomfortable the MAb treatment would make me.....last time I had it I was on some major pain meds....not so this time.........:nonono:

It's a genralized achy "flu-like" feeling and a nasty headache to boot!

Can't wait until the real fun begins next week!

Thanks for all the prayers and moral support! I really do appreciate it!:nice:

  16. Hey, PM me sometime..... I go "outta town and outta touch" on the 11th through the 17th. Taking the Scout Troop off to summer camp; and internet, cellphone and pager ALL don't work in the backwoods of North San Diego County (Really, it's true!).
