So I just found out that the 'stang sits lower than the new house I am buying, I know that I can't be the first to have this problem. So tell me, all of you that have had this problem, what did you do to fix it? Thanks

Think that's bad, my Stang is lowered two 1/4 inches! Let's just say speedbumps aren't my friend! I have to detour around most of them unless them small. But boy, does it squat nicely going around corners and I have hardly ANY wheel gap.....

But for your issue, dunno what to tell ya :-(

i had to enter my driveway at a 45 degree angle in my 95, once i cleared the prochamber then i could straighten it out and pull the rest of the way up.
that's great motivation for me NOT to lower my 05

I cannot lower my Stang or get a chin spoiler because of my driveway. If you find something, short of tearing up the driveway, let me know...

I have one of those "half-way" curbs in front of my house. It's a pain in the butt, especially since I have a VERY low '06 GT. I have a full FMS Racing suspension with a full drop, and I have the Cervini C-500 kit, so I have side exhausts and a lower front clip.

I have to take my driveway at a very sharp angle. I basically end up entering at nearly parallel and drive up on the sidewalk, and then cut it into the garage. It's a pain in the but, but I just love the way the car looks, so I'll deal with it.

    I wish I could re-do the driveway, but HOA's.

I measured the clearance between the ground and the front spoiler ~4" to the spoiler, and ~3" to the airdam just behind the cosmetic surface. Between the ground and the side exhausts is ~3" mark. It's low. I scraped a bit when I first got it, but it's pretty rare that I do anymore.

    Good luck

We just moved into our new place and have one of those half-way curb thingies too. It's not a problem now but I for sure can't put a chin spoiler on my car anymore. I'm looking into smoothing it out somehow too.

Griot's Garage sells driveway-gutter curb ramps. I have no idea whether they would work for you, or what the quality is. I am just throwing the idea out as a possibility. Good luck.

Here's mine. Shows how low it is pretty well. It was taken before I cleaned up the front lip damage by the previous owner.

If I can get this into my garage on a daily basis (it's my daily driver) with those half-curb things, than you should be able to as well.

At OEM ride height my GT needs to enter on an angle so she doesn't hit.. My drive way is more like a rounded curb then a ramp.

Here's the only pic I have, I'm out of state right now. The pic is pretty far back but you can how high the curb is, higher than normal. My car is lowered 1.5" and will not clear a normal curb so that's not helping.

Yeah, those are the same types of curbs that I have to deal with in my driveway. The big difference is that out here (AZ) we don't have any Blvd area (grassy area between street and sidewalk) the sidewalk is right at the curb, so I can drive up nearly parallel onto the sidewalk a good 10-20 feet before my driveway.

You're SOL it looks like. Without changing the driveway (permanently or with insert ramps) I don't think your going to be able to get around it.

Unless you move that mailbox and start driving up onto the grassy area :D

why cant my area have curbs like that!. i like those curbs. the ones around here are taller and just straight up. that angle looks like it would prevent any kinda curb shots.

nice house by the way. that buick yours? if so very nice. i got to drive a really nice one at work. comfortable cars to be in.

if you hit it from the right angle, you should be able to avoid scraping, just practice on some speed bumps haha.

and if you ever get long tubes make sure they tuck good, or else you'll find out when they dont when you suddenly run open headers unintentionally.

That's the wife's buick. It's a nice car and a hell of a shock switching between it and the 'stang! I think I can make it if I hit it at an angle but was hoping to find something to avoid that as I do want long tubes someday!

My Mustangs used to drag a bit going into the garage. I fixed it with a few buckets of quick-set cement from Home Depot. Just made a few humps. You don't even notice them.

Post a closer side profile picture of the drive entrance. Is the entrance the only spot where you have a clearance issue? I think I may have a solution for you.
  20. kooldawg6 mine works really well and can take a fair amount

Judging by the pic of your driveway, you should be able to clear it or just scuff the very bottom if you get a good angle on it.
I scraped my GT500 front the very first day I had it pulling into a buddies driveway:eek: I'm about in the same boat sogwap is in...mine is lowered 1.75" with the springs and then the GT500 front sits .5" lower than my GT front with the CDC classic chin spoiler did...that was something I had no idea to expect:shrug: The center of the GT500 spoiler is 4.25" off the ground now. I pay extra attention now as I also have LTs and I've only scraped them once in the month they've been on and that was due to a total lack of concentration and it quickly let me know about it:eek: Fortunately no damage was done:D
