Id go with some weld in mufflers, Pullies, and X or H-Pipe. Other than gears those are probably the things that will help the most right now.:nice:

the car already had some weld in flowmaster muflers ....
and as far as gears i would like to have some now but i plan on doin the major mod (kenne bell supercharger) at the end of the summer so.... i dont wanna waste money and time gettin into the gears on a 99...

i have a question on pulleys what the difference on piggyback style and regular ud pullys ....cause i heard w/ p/b style pullys you cant adjust you timing .....

oya and should i tear out the air box buy a conical air filter.??? and is it bad to get rid of the restrictive webbing???

sorry for all the question but kinda anxious gotta beat a ls1 no matter what it takes.....

Very nice list. Those are all good ideas, go for it! As far as the pullies go, I have heard that it's better to stay away from the "piggyback style" ones. Just my .02

I've heard that you don't get as much power from the piggyback style u/d pullies. I've also been told that they aren't nearly as durable. I'd stay away from piggyback's as well.

Dump the timing adjuster, get a custom chip with a dynotune after all the mods are in. Then you don't need a speedcal either. Slap the blower in first. I don't know if you want to run the blower with pulleys.

Has KB actually decided to build the charger for the 99s? Last I heard, they were waiting for 15 volunteers to make a deposit of 500 bux and "then" they'd make the kit. And it would be build to order, and that was it.

I'll have to disagree with that.

The Chip will be a great addtion if he'll have some more mods, i.e.: Headers, Intake, MAF, etc.

For the very mild mods that he is looking at he will be ok with the TA.

For the money my recomendation are:

    Steeda U/D Pulleys (o/a $150.00)
    Steeda TA (o/a $150.00)
    Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter (o/a $175.00)
    Dr. Gas X-Pipe (O/R) (o/a $250.00)
    MIL Eliminators (o/a $50.00)
    Densecharger CAI, K&N Filter & Pro-M 80mm Calibrated for CAI ($175.00 PAYPAL to me and I'll S&H :D ($425+ value))
    Steeda IRS Bushings (o/a $40.00)
Maximum Motorsports IRS SubFrame Bushings (o/a $40.00)

Total: $1000.00 (+-a couple of bucks)

You targeted: Air Flow, Exhaust, Suspension (HOP), Drivetrain and a good HP/TQ Gain (o/a easy 15-20RWHP). After more mods: SC, Gears, Ported Intake (by me :D ), headers, you could easily sell the TA and then get the Chip (I recomend JMS) and a MAFterburner :nice: .

    Let me know.

    Naz
