so in the process of building my dream car (still a long way off, lol), i need to fix things that break on it. ive been needing a tranny for a while now; about 10k miles ago all my syncros decided to go on strike. so ive been saving for a T-56 since Jan. got ~$700 so far. however, my rear end is gone also. its really gotten bad here within the past 5k miles. so my question is, what would you fix first?

    Option A:
    31 splines
    limited slip
whatever else is needed (havent really reasearched this yet)
    ~1k including install

    Option B:
    keep saving for the T-56
    ~3k including install

thats the thing, i cant bang gears. it takes a good second for the shifter to get into gear between shifts, even at my best.

yeah if the tranny is pretty messed up, id be saving for a bit :(, could always get a loan, but I hear that is a bad idea(loans for mods)

Buy another T-45 to take the cost down, and fix rear at the same time.

Unless you REALLY want a T-56, then I dont know what to tell you.

It does not make sense to me to be upgrading parts in one area when parts in another area need fixing.

Repairs and preventitive maintenenace should always take priority over mods.

i agree, but both my tranny and my rear need repairing. i would consider both maintenance, even though im upgrading both
