as most of you know i was in a car accident 2 weeks ago. so i got looking for a new (to me) car. well here she is, car is almost flawless aside from the bug marks on the front bumper.

-VT Built 302 stroker short block (10.5:1 compression)
    -Diamond Pistons
    -Manley forged rods and crank
    -Bassani off road X-pipe
    -Mac Mufflers
    -H&R lowering springs
    -MGW Short throw shifter
    -4.10 gears

car has no cats, i am changing this soon as i dislike the smell and i dont like the noise it makes without them i did not like the mufflers so a friend of mine lent me the rear section of a stock cobra exhaust. i will probaly get some flowmaster super 44's

also i went to the track today and ran my car, which i have never ever done before....so i was pretty nervous. but with some nasty wheel hop in first and then again on the 1-2 shift, and with 18's running 285/35/18 Sumitomo HTR Z II tires, i ran a 13.454 @104. i never thought i would do so good i expected somewhere in the 14's. so i was only able to make 1 run cause the track required a helmet for anything faster than a 13.9. i know there is a lot left to get out of her and now i really want to go back, i just need to get a helmet now.

i lost my slip but my friend was in the lane next to me and has his slip which he will copy and send to me.

    enjoy!!!!

    Wow, nice find man.

That car has alot of potential, i'm sure you can easily make a 12 second pass with some practice.

    Looks great!!!

How much was she, if you mind me asking? Were you the guy that the lady plowed into at a light?

it was 13,000. and the car itself has 46,500 miles on it and the motor has about 8,000.

and yep that was me that got plowed at the light :( and although i love this car i feel the same way about it as LaserSVT does about his, i havent made the same "bond" with this car as i did with the GT although i want to get a few things on this sorted out like the exhaust and the brakes (i did the brakes and the front pads chatter like crazy, i dislike this floating caliper design) and get it dyno'd and tuned. then im sure that it will feel better to me.

Thats a great deal!!! I totally understand there is nothing like driving a car which you have personally did all the work on:) It started with K&N filter and I was hooked :)

nice choice. i really like the 5.0 stroker aspect. all that car needs is a 03/04 cobra chin spoiler. and yes it will fit.

Nice find man, I am happy for ya! It does take a while to get that bond with a car, it will happen once you start personalizing her! Awesome! :nice:

I was thinking about this on my 99 Cobra bumper, wish I had some good picks...

It has forged internals and 10.5:1? sounds like a spray car.

i hated them and maybe it was cause of the no cats....but it sounded like a rattling tin can at deceleration or during shifting if i was shifting slow or if i had my foot on the loud pedal.

well its not that i dont like the smell, cause i do, but in my state we require emissions testing so i dont like that if i can smell it so can the testing facility. instant failure.
