I took my 67 coupe to a cruise event last night. This was the first time I ever brought a car to one of these and the feeling is great.
My car wasn't the prettiest, but it sure was neat having people ask me qeustions about the car, and it was a really great bonding experience for me and my 14 year old son.:nice:
We ate junk food, looked at cars, and when it was over cruised around in a semi-parade. Then took it on the highway and opened it up a little.:nono:
I guess that feeling is part of what this resto-mod thing is all about.
The sounds, the smells, and the attention.
    Just had to share this.

Last night was also my first night out since finishing my car as well...I went to a show at Cruisers in Frisco (Dallas suburb) that has a show every Monday night. What a zoo! There must have been 100 cars there...more rice than anything.

I wish there were more "cruise-arounds" . After awhile (past 3 years) you tend to see the same people around parked in the cruise-ins. I wish we could drive around, like take over a friday night here in town . . . maybe its the american graffiti talking.
