It was my first time at the track in my 00 GT that i have had a lil over 2 months, also my first time ever at the track. My mods are a mgw short throw, bassani off road x, and magnaflow catback. I made three passes and the results were:

    Run 1:
    e/t: 14.245
    60': 2.287
    trap: 98.43
    r/t: .102

    Run 2:
    e/t: 14.336
    60': 2.437 :bang:
    trap: 99.33
    r/t: -.003

    Run 3:
    e/t: 14.254
    60': 2.361
    trap: 99.45
    r/t: .420

Go ahead and make comments or suggestions, i already know i need to get my 60' times down. I launched at 1700 and bogged, 2000 spun, and 1800 slipping the clutch. I powershifted my 1-2, and 3-4 shifts in the first 2 runs and stayed in 3rd through the traps in my last run. Temp was around 55 degrees out at night. Feel free to criticize i'm just lookin for pointers to get my time down. Next time out i'm lookin for under 14.1 and 60' under 2.1

thanks man, thats the same set up Im thinking about on my Bullitt. Already have the X-pipe :nice:

As far as how to improve your times, you already know what you need, 60' improvement. Best bet is to invest in some stickier tires for the track. Nittos, BFG or MT's Drag Radials. On street tires I would rev to about 2500, slip the clutch and feather the throttle until I would hook, then hold on and dont miss a shift. Its all about practice and experience. Good Luck :nice:

Not bad first time out...just learn how to drive the car off the line, makes a huge difference...check out my time/mods in my sig....cutting 1.9 60's on street tires really helped me out alot, but then agian I have been learning how to drive the past 5 years haha

I'm actually goin back to the track this friday to see if i can improve on my times a little bit. My goal is to get a 14.1 or lower with a 2.1 60' times and breaking 100 mph on my trap. And i was shifting at 5500 or 5600 for the most part. Granted i do a lot of my shifting off of the sound of the engine so i could be a little off.

Well you already know the 60' is where big gains can be made.
However I think your MPH is a lil low. You are staying in it through the traps correct? I've seen alot of first timers get on the brakes or back outta the throttle before they cross the lights.
Might wanna play with shift points. I HIGHLY encourge a shiftlight (raptor) to get repeatablity.

i went well throw the traps and was doin over a 110 when i hit the brakes so yea i know that wasn't the problem, actually my second pass i really had to stomp on the brakes cause i slowed down a lil too late. And one good thing was that my trap time improved each pass. My first run netted a 98.45 or something like that and my last run was a 99.44 so yea i was improving there however my best 60' time was best on my first run however. I'm goin to continue to try different things to see which works the best. Also keep in mind this was my first time ever at the track so yea i'm a newbie.

times are extremely consistant for a first timer, hell I've been playing at the track for a while now and my times are all over the place.

Thank you, all i'm goin to say is that even though it was my first time at the track i will have to admit that i used to street race in my v6 stang. Then i realized that cops are not too fond of it and have now decided to keep it at the track.
