Hey guys, My car has about 140,000 Miles on the motor. No Smoke, compression tested good. I did a leak down test but the tested only went in about 1 turn.. so that was pointless. I have a HCI on the car right now. So the top end is pretty fresh, head gaskets/intake gaskets. Also replace the rear seal and oil pan gasket. Money is pretty hard to come by for me, and i want the car to have a blower so bad i can taste it. I was wondering, how would my motor hold up if i was to install the kenne bell on it? Running maybe 6-9 psi? Granted i wont be going WOT all the time. Do you think the engine will take it? Or if at the very least would i be safer installing some new bearings in the motor before putting a blower on it? WOuld i have to upgrade my fuel system? Im currently running 24/lb injectors a holly fpr, and a bbk 255 lph pump. Basically if i find the the motor would hold up, the plan is to install the blower, then drive the car. After i pay off the blower saving for a new shortblock to build up. So basicaly what do you guys think? Do you think she will handle it? I did a search but found very mixed opinions so i figured i would post my own.
Thanks Guys!
Mike
