search brings up all kinds of Mustang Gt wheel threads... After seeing the Ford Racing add in allthe magazines with the yellow Mustang GT with the Ford GT (supercar) wheels fitted, i'm curious if they simply just bolt on or need an adapter? I imagine its only the front wheels that can be used? Any pics on different color cars would be appreciated.
The FR500 wheels look pretty similar, they may fit better on the stangs. Maybe check out the Ford Performance catalog. You can get it online and it should state fitment in there.
I myself am going with the American Racing "Shelby Razor" wheels. Sexy, sexy, sexy. But that has nothing to do with your question. Here is a site that has the real ones...or they claim they are real. http://www.dallasmustang.com/page/products.php?product=61606
How are 20's rediculous???Why buy the same size that came on a car with a HUGE wheelwell????It is a matter of preference, but rediculous?????I dont think so
Mine came with 17s. Huge wheel well, yeah, but it's the gap from the fender to the tire that is the biggest concern. All cars have big tubs. 18s or 19s look cool, with 19s pushing it a bit. 20s look like yer draggin Jay Leno's head on all four wheels. They belong on SUVs. I bet you put spinners on yer last Stang didn't you.
20's are about the best fit for this car. A 20x11.5 rear with the 345/25 tire would be ideal for me. Now, if I could just afford to get those wheels made.
I think 19's are the not too big not too small size, lookswise. Its a shame how heavy and counterintuitive they are to performance though
I have to agree that 19 look good aswell but they are harder to find tires and tires are more expensive in 19s.
I still have my last stang,it doesnt have spinners, but its been good enough to get a few magazine covers, but let me guess, your middle aged, listen to AM radio and bought a mustang to relive your youth
Actually considering the music I listen to....my Stang should have spinners, probably be pink and orange and maybe even have lamps up on the corners of the hood. Fuzzy dash, Christmas lights running all through the interior...what else...hmmm....
Los An-gal-eez. City of Pot Holes and Unexpected Drops in the Pavement. Anything lower in tire profile than 45 and yer ask'n for a dented, chipped, scraped, rim. Oh and you could make milk shakes from how bumpy the ride would be.
