thats f'ing amazing, i agree, id REALLY like to drive that car, not try to drift it haha but I bet it handles like a dream. Id like to see some of the guys who say "drifting is gay!" come in and say something.

thats awesome, i wonder what kinda changes they made to the steering system and suspension to decrease the turning radius on that car... with stock steering i doubt you could get the car that sideways, the wheels dont turn very much.

That car has no body roll, it says griggs prepped, so im sure if you add that, adjust the toe, and cast/camber PERFECT, throw an amazing driver in the car, you got some great footage :nice:

Run 03 cobra front control arms with C-channel cuts to allow more steering lock.

Probably just a well put together road race suspension with a good amount of camber on the front wheels and a stiff setup out back so the tires break loose easy. You can also have a solid axle custom camberd but i don't think that one is.

man I wanted some footage last night, seriously LAST NIGHT coming home from work, missed my turn so I did a Uturn quick as **** in second gear coming out and floored at full tilt, corrected and I was just sliding sideways... SOOOOO MUCH FUN!! Then I kinda got addicted and took some "long cuts" on backroads home and did a bit more. I need to take some one with me next time!

The light bar is nuts! :hail2:

There is a guy here on SN that has a Drift Setup on his Mustang, CF hood, Black JDM wheels, etc.

People knocked him for it, but that car was nicer than mine.

I totally forgot who he is though. Somewhere I think in Cali.

Maybe I'm just weird or dumb (or both), but I just don't "get" drifting. I mean, I know it takes a lot of skill and all, but it's essentially just a lot of going around and around in a figure-8, usually, and burning down a set of $200-apiece tires in just a few minutes. It looks cool for, say, movie footage in a chase scene, but as a competitve sport ... ehhhmmm ... no. Just looks a lot like dirt-track racing being done on a paved road, basically, which is a total opposite of, say, IRL car racing - one pretty much requires you to be sliding around 90% of the time, the other tries to minimize any form of wheelspin or drift as much as possible.

Nice-lookin' Fox, though ... aside from the whale tail...

I think people who call drifting stupid are maybe a bit naive...i could do without the overload of imports but hey whatdya do? It all comes down to the fun factor. Really it's nothing new...we call it "raising hell" in the country :nice:

And Ryan...bro, i don't mean to bust your balls but seriously have you ever been in a car (driving it) that put over 300hp to the tires and had the gas to the mat? I know you don't have a license but honestly i did before i had mine, and you learn real quick that it's not as easy as it looks. I got my practice in a 3.8L Buick Regal....bone stock POS but it was RWD and had enough grunt to really rip it up in the fields...and that's how i learned car control. From there on out it's just about experience, and you can't get that unless you've done it.

Believe me...just 300hp at the tires is nothing to laugh at...there's enough power there to spin a Fox body around in circles if you can't control it...when you up the power anywhere over 400hp it gets pretty hairy.

Drifting is not a sport, not really anything but show to me, but I love that vid. Proof that Foxes are awesome at everything.... with a little help.
