I am about to graduate high school tomorrow being my last day...well I went to school in the afternoon to pick up my senior yearbook and to my amazement a couple of guys from school decided to have a little race...one was driving a 1993 v6 camaro automatic...the other had an 03 volkswagen golf a gls I believe...all I know is it has the crappier base engine in it...well the guy in the golf has a couple of little mods to his car nothing big and he thinks that the car hauls bones...it is kinda funny...well these guys are racing and I can't help but but a little bit of a butt...I am maybe 150-200 feet behind these guys and I downshift to second and slam it and am on both their bones in a couple seconds....the guy in the golf falls in behind the camaro as he sees me flying in from behind and I blow by both of em...then a few lights down the road the guy in the golf pulls next to me and I can't help it...I give it a few good revvs and then call it good...I thought it was funny to see the guy a bit intimidated..
almost as funny as when i shut down guys who are trying to drag race me and i dont even know it. just driving along in my own business and not hammering on it. has happened more than once.
They can take your car from you.. not impound it, but completly take it away from you where you have no chance in getting it back unless they go to sell it.
i have never heard of that. they can do that in what state? but i agree, racing is dangerous and not a good idea.
well I wasn't really going all that fast so don't worry not anything I haven't already been caught for maybe twenty over or so...I have been caught doing 31 over and not had problems
In michigan if you get caught drag racing they usually give your car back to you but in some cases they "forfeit it" and they charge 1500 dollars and then you can go to the impound pay their fees and you can get it back. Depends on what kind of a person you are to them
In california, they take your car, sell it (not impound it, they ****in sell it) and your license for a year or more depending on the judge you get, they dont play around
Back in Pittsburg, KS they just fine you $100-$200 and tell you to go to the track.... Or they just give you a warning. You guys live in crappy places. A V-6 stang and a V-6 firebird were racing on night on a 4 laner.... I could see for over a mile that no one was coming. I juiced it to make a big scene on my launch and passed both of them while they were still "hard" at it, racing each other. Took about a block to let them know they weren't impressing anyone. I don't do that kind of stuff anymore, but it's always good to have the stories of being young and dumb. If you don't do anything dumb, you can't ever learn from it.
