Gasket matching intake ports - 1262???

What is the best gasket to match the intake ports to, I have a Holley lower. I was thnking the Felpro 1262 would that be best??

Yeah go for it thats really big.

not sure but I heard of a 1262 r Not sure what thats for though.

Some say that the 1250 is asa big as I want to go, is this true? Or should I go with the 1260 and open up the ports on the lower to match?

Its up to you 1262 is big I port matched my gt-40 intake to a 1250 and that was really big for me. Just go with a 1250 to help keep velocity up.

It isnt the matter of using the 1262 or the 1250.. the restriction is between the pushrod "dimples" and no matter HOW big the opening is... it will only open up so far between those places... keep the 1250 .. they are really better balanced to the amount you can remove from the pudhrod dimples... cool?? and your rocking!! IF the intake is already at the 1262's... then do it, and the flow will still be smooth instead of hitting the edge of the intake port on the head...cool??

how much bigger is the 1250 than stock?

believe me or not its pretty good you can put it on a stock casting and use a permanet marker to color on the inside of the gasket and then port that baby out!!

but I'd say about 1/8

I'm with thumper. opening up the entry will not help the flow. fact will probably reduce the flow. I always just true up the head port with minimal amount of removal then match the intake side to that.
