GT40 Intake Delimma

Going to try tackling a gt40 intake install this weekend. Today I just want to prep it to get it ready. I have all the gaskets, the elbow, the brass plugs, all that stuff. I got all the old gasket off. Now I'm stuck. The upper has four 4" studs in it. I cant get them out and they are too long for the elbow.

Is there an easy way to remove them without a torch (upper is painted)?

Is it easy to just use the existing bolts and go with a fox setup? If so, does anyone have pics? Pics of a fox setup or an elbow setup would be nice. I HATE rusted bolts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can double nut them and use the one nut to remove them from the intake. You might also want to use some PB Blaster or other penetrating lube to loosen them up in case they seized up a little.

Thats a great Idea! I racked my brains last night trying to think of a way to loosen it by using a wrench rather than pliers.
