Alright I have owned my car for 14 months so far I've done the basic stuff like full exhaust, HCI,gears. I am happy with the power it makes so now its time for the apperance part because it is 100% stock . I am stuck.. Should I go with smoked or clear headlights. I will be adding 03 cobra rims ( not chrome) 20% tint and lowering it. The front bumper and maybe the hood are getting painted as well. It is laser red. What do you think? I cant make up my mind.
I'd say go for smoked ones. But since you're gonna have silver 03 cobra wheels, you can get away with clear headlights ok.
Smoked looks best with black/ anthracite wheels and clear/chrome/ultra clear lights look best with chrome such as the Cobra style with clear corners
TY for your input I'm pretty sure I'll be going clear headlights and clear corners and I can always switch em If I dont like em!
More about headlights Well my sis has a 95 just like I do and I want to get her a set of headlights for Christmas. I know you guys know the "yellowed" story so I'll spare you lol. So yeah I know I want to upgrade her and get her a set of cobra style headlights. Ive bought OEM Cobras for mine years back and don't really want to shell out another 300 for another set. Okay with that said I know there are a lot of companies that make the cobra style, but any advice on where I can get a set that won't be leaking or fogging after 2 weeks and will be an easy direct fit. Right now I got my eyes on ebay and am watching a few auctions but am afraid of buying a set for 60 bucks (know what I mean). What do you guys think? And I don't really need corners, just the headlights.
i got a set off ebay a few years back and havnt had any problems with them you can always run a bead of RTV around where the lens meets the housing before you install them if your worried about condensation
I say if all stock..or if your stockers are not "yellowed" just buy some clear(not euro clear) corners...to me all the aftermarket headlights look to "rice"...but if your afraid of the cheap aftermarkets leaking dont use rtv around them..id use some urethane or seam sealer...much much beter than rtv
