help needed for TCI install

OK here is the problem. My brother has an 87 GT that had a T5 in it. We installed a TCI c4, but cant get the crossmember to line up. we bought an auto crossmember and it is even more off. I was told the only 2 choices we have is to either grind off the spot welds on the cross member mounting tubes, align it and re spot weld it, or to get a new motorsports trans mount that doesnt have the tubes welded. does anyone have any other imput?

I am pretty sure you will have to modify the stock crossmember. Look in some back articles of MM&FF and they did the same thing.

yeah, that's what we are doing today, he cut the welds last night and got it in to mark it. We had to use a new one anyway because his stock one was rotted thru on one of the tubes.

well we got teh trans and all in last week, going to get some MT ET streets tomorrow...and we hope to be at the track tomorrow night
