Help whats wrong with my car. timing jumpin around and exhaust leak sound

it started after i did a burn out n reved it up n launched it.. i check all the exhaust, spark plugs, and put new gas in it. timing goes from 15-25. idles like sh1t- sounds like its gona cut out, when u drive it it boggs out really bad and sounds like a sh1tty exhaust leak, has no power, taping noise coming from like under intake manifold, back fires when i drive. anything else it could be other then vaccuum leaks and exhaust leak?

How do you know the timing goes from 15-25? Are you just checking it periodically...

check your harmonic balancer immediately before you lose your bottom end

i put a romac in like 6 months ago. thats fine. n when i check my timing with a gun it moves up n down from like 15-25 degrees.

How many miles on the timing chain and gear set?

If it is a lot you may have lost cam time.

When you try to start it, does it spin over differently?

Did you remove the spout? Had to ask?
If so, then it could be the distributor.

are you remembering to pull the spout when you check the timing? it will jump around if you dont pull it to lock out the computer

ya i pulled the sprout out and still moved around ya it sounds diff when i crank it up.

check the cap and rotor too. check to see if there is a burn mark on them at all or looks like it might be cracked

Again, if the t chain & gears have lots of wear on them, the chain has stretched so much that it is possible to have the cam or crank slip on the chain and they are not in time with each other any more.

Some symptoms of this would be:

Cranks fast then slow when trying to start the motor

Idles rough

At idle, give it gas and it backfires through the intake

Needless to say, it won't run right if you try to drive it
