Well, I'm doing a tune up on my 97 Cobra, and i need a little help... i assume that the cylinders are numbered 1-4 (front to back) on the passengers side, and 5-8 are on the drivers side...though i wanna be sure, so im asking... also, what is the position of each wire on the coil packs? i see that they are numbered...does the top number on each signify 1-4 on the passengers side, and the bottom number is for the 1-4 (which is actually 5-8) on the drivers side? any other tips? im still learning these new modular motors...thanks!
Here's the configuration: Cylinders 4---8 3---7 2---6 1---5 Coil packs 6 3----7 2 1 5----4 8 and that's looking at the engine from the front of the car...
Your car has Coil on Plug spark plugs where each spark plug has it's own separate coil on top of it...on the pre-99 cars there were 2 coil packs, one each for for half the engine...you can see them on my car in this picture
