Home made kits. Do they really work?

    I did a little research and found this. Anyone agree with their results or done something similar. For $20 they took off 3/10ths on quarter mile with a home made ram air kit.
    These all look like for pre 05 models but if they work on one year should they not work on the new rides?

    I highly Highly doubt it will take 3/10ths off your 1/4mile time.. But may make a little difference at Highspeeds.. However at low speeds and in stop/go traffic i dont see it being benifitial at all.

    the whole ram air issue has been covered in the 5.0 forum... most believe it only helps once you get up in speed... that way you get a "ram" effect... but a slower speeds it simply is a giant cold air intake... and depending onthe number of bends in it, it could actually hurt your power.
