05 Roush Sport build date 6/05.

Shakes at about 70 - 80 mph depends on crosswind. When it did it the first time I almost pulled off the road, it scared me.

I will look at lining up my panels with the stoppers tomorrow and post some results.

Glad this thread is out here to help those of use with concerns some dealers are unable to fix.

Take the rubber strip off at the cowl underneath your windshield wipers. The reason why the hood shakes is because of poor design by ford. The air gone in can not escape causing hood shake. By deleting the rubber strip will let the air escape and your promblem is solved.

Won't that allow water into the engine compartment?

That still doesn't explain why it happens on some cars and not others, if it were a design flaw all S197's would do it, or at least most.

Ive got an 07 gt and there is hood shake on the drivers side, doesnt take much to latch the hood but when i jiggle it i get like a 1/2 in of play on the drivers side. pasenger side is solid as a rock. i tried ajusting the rubers but that just made it worse.

    My Hood Stops

I have had my 07 GT 7 months and 13.000 miles and never had the hood shake even at 140 mph untill a month or so ago. I have posted on this before, and I dont think too many folks took me seriously. A lot of " BS" floats around so I cant say I blame any one.

But I really did for sure stop the hood shakes in just a few minutes and I have had it to 130 or so since and no shakes by adjusting the front hood stops upward a bit.

I guess it seems too simple to really work, and it may be just my car that it worked on. Pretty easy to tell if your hood is out of adjustment by gently picking up on it when closed. If it has a bit of slack, backing out the adjusters like 1/2 turn at a time, evenly on all four did the trick for me.

I went a bit too far out and the hood would'nt shut, so I went back down with them about 1/4 of a turn and the hood drops closed solidly and with no play.

Cost's nothing, takes 5 minutes, worth a try. Or not....:nice:

My 07 has pretty bad hood shake at speeds with high winds. Looks like the hood is not latched down, it shakes so bad. :dunno:

Well i tried that but the hood would stick out above the fender pretty bad. mine almost seams like the hood latch isnt adjusted right. But i try messing with those things again.
