I have a transmission from an '04 mach1 and i need to know if I have either a 4R70W or a 4R75W. Does anyone know how to tell the difference from the outside? I dont have the vin or door code from the car it was pulled from, but I know it's a mach because i seperated it from the engine ;)

    Some more info:
    tail: RF-3L3P-7006-AA
    case: RF-F3LP-7A040-AA

    Thanks!

I did a search over at Mach1Registry and the only thing I could come up with is the '03 had the 4R70W and the '04 had the 4R75W. If you can find the build sheet which may or may not be hidden somewhere in the car maybe that has the exact info. and codes.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. It would be nice if there was some casting number indication, since i dont have too much info from the original car
