I can't take it anymore, there is just far to many dents, dings, and scratches in the cobra(2004) I'm going to be painting the car, but the only problem is I don't know what color!!! I don't want to do a factory paint color and was wondering if anyone had any interesting ideas. I was thinking a darker color perhaps a burgundy, but i'm open to suggestions. I also haven't had a lot of luck with finding stangs painted non factory colors....so any suggestions or pictures would be awesome :D

One of my personal favorites is Autumn Orange... only 1519 mustangs made in that color, back in 1997. Sorry I can't really comment on non-factor paint though. Good luck!

keep the stock color if nothing else for resale value. If you change the color you're always going to be noticing little things that are mismatched colors, like pieces in your engine bay, door jams, anything under your carpet...i guess it doesnt bother some people but it would me...

Maybe go with the same color but in metalic. Or have them us extra coats
of clear coat. What color is the Cobra?

Dude don't change the color unless you're gonna do it right. Almost every color change paint job I see looks like shat. I would stick with the stock color. Plus when the car is 30years old it will be worth that much more:nice:

A copper color would look sick! Like the copper color you see on new Dodge trucks sometimes, or the copper on the new Z06 Vettes! It would look awesome on a Cobra!

I would see what the body shop says about fixing what you have. I've seen some dentless repairs done and scratches fixed real well. Instead of changing the color, how about some stripes or a new set of rims to change things up?
