Was on my way to to work, Pulled off of the interstate ramp, and pulled up to the stop light, about 2 seconds later im slammed forward as a white Nissan slams into the back of my car

Pics explain the damage, but they dont explain my frustration or the other person's stupidity.....

Luckily the guy had insurance, so to screw him, im taking it to my roomate's wor k (Kelly Chev.) and getting an estimate done, and while im at it, going to look into finally getting it painted Pearl Black

I feel your pain. Since i started driving in 1987, I have been in 5 wrecks that were not my fault. Just use this as a chance to make it even better. :flag:

I feel your pain I was ran off into a curb today by some old fart in a Toyota Tundra. I was going down a double wide turning lane and he thought it would be better to be in mine so he started to pull in front of me with out a signal and then he turned it on. So I had to slam on brakes locking them up and the road was wet. I slid into the curb in the median and came to a stop. As the old fart turned back into his lane and drove off. I chased him down and yelled at him, he had the nerve to say I was going too fast and I needed to slow down. I was like you pulled in front of me and now my tire is messed up and my alignment feels funny. He said that there was nothing wrong with my car and walked off. WTF some ass hats

That sucks for both of you!! I consider myself a good driver. I've only been in two accidents and neither were my fault. I've avoided more than I care to count. As long as I've been driving, I don't think I've ever been more paranoid of others than I am these days. People either don't think at all or just think about themselves. At least both of you are still here to talk about it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Jquintel, but there's a chance they'll total you're car. Book value ain't much on a 13 yr old car. We barely squeaked by with my sons '95 Nissan. The damage was similar to yours just on the front instead of the rear, and it missed being totalled by less than 200.00. I hope it doesn't happen to you, and I hope the insurance company takes care of you fairly and quickly. You may need to call and pester them on a regular basis to make the latter come true :D

Sounds like you've got a plan then!

Either way, it looks like you've got a winter project.
  8. Red_LX Doubt I could be of much help, unless you need por

I can about guarantee they'll total that out...the cost of a new rear quarter + labor to install it probably exceeds the value of the car!

I have the front parking and turn signals from them, purchased through 50resto. No problem with them, but I'm assuming that Henceforward has.

I bought a pair of KSR LX tails through 50resto in 2003.

They look good at a glance, but when I held a flashlight down my nose to see how the reflectors looked I was shocked to see 3 black half circles in the reflectors. The mold that the lenses was formed in was botched, and I guess nobody caught it before I did. The reflectors were defective so I asked for another set.....

All in all 50resto sent me 5 different pairs, and didn't even believe me until they checked their inventory, and damned if all of the KSR LX lenses they had in stock had the same defect.

I then worked out a deal with a guy named Michael at 50resto (He nolonger works there) and purchased a pair of OEM Ford lenses for a discount.

I have pictures of the crappy black circles on my other computer.

I emailed KSR with their crappy product pictures, and the info that 50restos entire inventory was fugged up. Plus my advice for them to check their molds to make sure that they could sell a decent product...

All I got in response was "Who is this?"

    Great customer service...

Getting rearended sucks major ass. I got hit back in December and it totalled the car. I tried to fix it, but there's just too much to make it pretty again and I don't have enough time, space or money to make a dedicated drag car or roadrace car out of it. Hopefully you get to keep yours.
