I'm doing a tune up on my Girls 93 lx. My question is, does idle speed effect base timing? What should idle spee be? Her car is running about a 950rpm idle. I believe it has a E-cam in it, but not positive. So even pulling the spout to set timing, will having a slightly higher idle **** up my base timing? Help please.:SNSign:

For the range of an setting idle speed change, one can discount it changing timing. More noticable would be the effect of a timing change on the idle speed, IMHO.

From what I gather, your idle speed is right in the ballpark for that cam.

    Good luck.
