I miss having my car in one peice..... Having a big project can be depressing :(

My car is currently apart, I welded up the enginebay, and am putting the bondo glaze on it now to smooth it out.. Then comes the 347 and tremec tranny, plus whole new black interior. Can't wait to finish, but it's a long road to get there :( :p

Pix of my 347 coming soon.
    Specs:

    347 CI,
    68 Mustang 302 block
    Scat Crank
    Eagle Rods
    Ross Forged Pistons
    Trickflow Twisted Wedge Heads
    Weiand Ported / Polished Intake
Black n Red Ford Racing Valvecovers
    Barry Grant Demon Carb
7 Qt Canton Oilpan w/ deep pickup

And I'm running the Holley Blue elec fuel pump, and Tremec 3550 Tranny...MSD ignition... Fluidyne Radiator....4 pt rollbar + harnesses... Cobra brakes...umm... Y2k Cobra R's... Gonna get a Steeda wing instead of the much-hated Cobra R wing :D

Excuse the noobage within, I'm still 16, and it's my first MAJOR project. (All work done by me, except 347 shortblock assembly) :p

Btw, which wire is the power wire from the electric fan? I'm running a switch for the fan.

    Enjoy.

i hear ya bro. mine has been sitting in the driveway for a month now waiting for me to find (make) time to work on it. mine is a MUCH smaller project, just finishing and installing water injection, fixing the terrible rattle in the coil-overs, and finding and fixing whatever is making my steering column not want to turn easily some of the time.

you'll probably still finish before me lol

looks like a sweet ride, i'm sure you miss it, but it'll be awesome when you are done.

    good luck with it

Wow, that looks like a handful, gutting the engine bay and the interior all at once! Looks like a pretty sweet project, I'll be doing something similar in a couple years (if all goes well). Keep this thread updated with your work :nice:

BTW are you doing it all in your driveway? Hope it doesn't rain :p

At what point are you askin about the power wire for the fan? At the CCRM, at the fan itself, etc?

Pin 14 at the CCRM (NOT pin 14 at the computer) is the control to turn on low speed. Pin 17 at the CCRM is for high speed.

On the fan, IIRC, the middle prong is low speed. There's a ground on one end (the top IIRC) and high speed is the remaining wire on the other end. Double check wiring colors and schematics before soldering away.

    Keep up the good work!

Yeah, it's no small project. The car is basically stripped of everything except body.. I already did the suspension earlier this year... Putting in new fuel tank, pump and lines too, as well as 31 spline axles, Cobra brakes on the rear.. Lotta stuff :D

And yep, I do it all in the driveway.. It hailed the other day too :nonono: I have a little EZ Up shelter to keep the direct rain/hail outta the enginebay of the car.

HISSIN: I meant right at the fan. That's what I needed to know, thanks!!

I'll keep youall updated as it goes. I'll get pix of the 347 when I paint it :SNSign:

I know how you feel. My car has been down for about 1 week. It is not nearly apart like yours, but I almost feel like it will never get finished. Just impatient.

You bet I'll be happy when it's done! Going from a 98 Exploder GT-40P setup, to a 347? FUN.

The buildup time is fun, but now that it's summer, and everyone else has their nice cars out, I miss mine :( haha

I feel your pain! I am finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel on my project. All I can offer is this... you will have days of great success and days of miserable failure. Know when to call it quits and get a good nights rest. This will help you get the results you want. Also keep a photo log of your progress. It helps to see how far you've come.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

I actually like your wing, it may be the fact tha yours unconventional rims compliment the unconventional wing.

    Thanks man!

It's a long story as to how I can afford it, but by hard work, mixed with some good luck, it's all being paid out of MY pocket. :flag: (And it helped that when I was 15, I was offered a Web Developing job for $20 an hour, which I of course, accepted ;))

That stinks. I took the summer off of school so I could take on another job, and try to get the 94 finished :p So far, I've been swamped, and haven't touched the 94 since last week, lol.

dlaul: Just keep lookin man! It took me a couple months to find mine (I wanted a black 5.0 5 spd, clean w/mods) and I found this one for 4K out the door, with a GT-40P H/C/I in it already. :nice:
