I know it's not for my 78....but we all go to junk yards.

I am looking for a 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder or Sport Crown Vic. Anybody finds one please let me know! I'm as desperate as Jon is with his white cargo panels.

Need a Marauder front bumper and a center console assembly from the Vic or Marauder.

    Thank you!!!

Good luck. Any yard that has a Marauder front cover is going to have a nose assembly, and it's gonna be BIG bux.

In fact, the locater only shows 2 in the country, and 1 needs a front bumper.

    Front cover list $1248.97! OW!

I predict that in the next couple of years, we're gonna see a lot of Marauder rebuilders with the wrong front end on them.

That's a tough one. I checked with a few late yards today and they don't have any of the 2003-04 Marauders or Vics in their yards yet. Probably best to due a part search on line.

I'm with the Texas Hwy Patrol and am going to be buying one of our 02 or 03 Vics in the next few weeks. I want to change it up a little. My 78, 93 Cobra, and 88 Tx Hwy Patrol Mustang are all 100 percent stock and if restored used OEM/NOS parts. With the Vic plan on putting the center console in with floor shifter, change the rear end, flowmasters, supercharge, etc. Still have all the equipment in it without a lightbar, painted straight black with dark windows and the black wheels. I've only owned Mustangs since 88 and am slowly growing up. Need a 4 door. Not much room for a childseat in the back, a stroller, and all the other good stuff in a Mustang. No minivans!!!!

There is a large Crown Vic group online. I've been warned about them from my police groups. If you're not an old time groupie they just hammer and flame you. Not like this good group or over at II.net. So like I mentioned, we all go to junk yards. Just checking.

ps-found a REALLY nice 69 Lincoln MKIII 2 dr in a yard a few days ago. No idea why it's there. Very restorable. Motor gone and some trim. Nice interior and body parts if anyone knows someone needing parts.

You know, I grew up in Iowa and Minnesota, and the first time I went through a salvage yard in Texas (Wylie, about 1986), I couldn't BELIEVE what i was seeing. Cars with no crash damage or rust, just sitting there. I guess they were just old cars that had mechanical issues that people didn't think were worth spending money on. '69 Torino GT, Slomaros from '70 on up, etc.

    Ahhh... the good 'ol days.

One of our Vics run about $5,000-$6,000. Mileage around 80,000. We don't butcher up the insides or outsides. Still painted black and white. I get an employee discount for a few thousand cheaper.

Our local Fuzz has been crusing in the Crown Vics since the end of the Capriece. Now.... I don't understand this... now, they're switching to the Impala???? :rlaugh: A V6 cop car!?! You gotta be kidding me. :nonono: The old man (the shops lead mechanic) took one out for a hard run and came back shaking his head saying that it could barely get out of it's own way. :( How in the hell do you do a persuit with a Yugo??
