Hi everyone I just wanted to say whats up to all the gt owners, since as of august 24, 2006 I am now on your side.
I traded in my v6 and took advantage of fords 0% financing and got a sweet deal on a windveil blue premium 5 spd manual.
What are some simple and good upgrades i can do.
    Nothing to drastic though. Thanks.

Whats the numbers on this sweet deal? I'm trying to cut the price down on one I am eyeing.

Tuner/CAI, off-road H/X pipe, & axleback to improve the sound. not much power to be gained with a new axleback set-up as the stock mufflers flow quite well.

read as many of the threads in the tech section as you can, and you will have a good idea of what works, sounds/looks the best, and is easiest to install for any mod you may consider doing!!

Thanks for all the feedback guys I really appreciate it.
As the numbers go I had an 06 v6 with some neg equity about 4-5K but I got approved for 0% financing and my payment increased 40 and included in the increase is gap insurance so I m better off now.

Congrats! A induction system like Demolete's "Tunable Induction" and a SCT tuner(sold as a package for around $575) will add about 20hp with a 87 octane tune and 25hp with a 93 octane tune. Add gears (I have 4.10s) for about 450-700 and you will have one fast car. Underdrive pulleys will give you another 8hp and a straight throug axle back will give you another 7-10hp (I've seen 2 Corsa dynos and they are in the 12hp range while Mustang and Fast Fords rated Borla stingers at around 10hp after some dyno tests. Corsa's are the most $, but I just saw them online with free shippping for $592. Others are around $400-500. Flowmaster and other "non striaght through" aren't gaining any power on the dyno, but improve sound. I'd throw a set of springs (about $450-500 installed) and maybe some aftermarket wheels. I decided to stick to 18s for both price and most importantly performance. The additional wieght of a 20 is like adding 200-300lbs to your car based on physics as the mass increases and moves farther from the center point of rotation.. Well, that's my 2 cents! Enjoy and have fun with your new baby :)

Congrats on your GT. I'm still awaiting delivery of mine.

In addition to the performance mods suggested previously, you might think about stripes and/or rear quarter window louvers. Many of the rear louvers, from what I read, stick on with 3M products and you can often find them pre-painted in factory colors.

Good luck and enjoy your GT! :nice:

I agree with all these other guys.. 4.10's and if you can get away with it a off road x, CAI, sct tuner ( you will need it for just about every mods) and a axle back

the 0 percent for 72 months is so tempting.. Good thing the only GT we have left is a auto otherwise I don't think I could wait untill the spring like me and the wife decided to do..

Once again thanx for all the replys they are all so helpful.
Regarding the 0% interest my credit is pretty good around 690 but I did some research that ford is willing to give the 0% to those with less than stellar credit. Let me Know what happens.

Hey guys, I picked up mine last Friday with the 0/72 deal as well. My CS was 720, so I knew getting approved was a non issue. Had to pay sticker though. Last 5 speed on the lot and it was almost exactly how I would have ordered one so I don't feel too bad. It's only money, right? :D
  16. kooldawg6 mine works really well and can take a fair amount

I just picked up my '06 GT on Aug 29th. I also got the 0/72 and I have horrible credit!!!!! It is fully loaded except for the 18" tire/wheel package. Sold it to me for $500 below invoice AND required no money down OR trading in my old commuter car!!!!! So now I have the great mpg commuter car PLUS my fun to drive around toy for under $390/month!!!!! THANK YOU FORD!!!!!! Congrats to all you fellow Stangers who pick one up on the 0/72 deal as well.

They are financing all credit tiers, from what I've read. That would mean as long as you're not absorbing a ton of negative equity (like $5K or more) they'll finance sub-600 scores.

Hi all,...I picked up a 06 gt aswell.

I went down to the dealership to look at the Saleen S281SC but after sitting down and ironing out a deal and then drivinig it, I decided on a GT.

I ended up getting the "AD" car...which was a 06 Redfire red base GT 5 speed manual.

The only option was wheel locks so the MSRP was 25.9k.

The dealer was wheeling and dealing so i got $3500 off msrp and 0% for 72 months..with $2500 down, payments are 306...what sealed the deal was the fact that the car had never been driven and only had 7 miles on the odo.

I love the car and plan to do light mods and use it as a daily driver, I'll see you guys around:nice:

    6 year loan!
If it had 7 miles on it, it has been driven (testing and at the autoramp to get loaded for transit).

Just giving you a hard time.

    Welcome! :)
