what does everyone recommend as far as off road X or H pipe? can you use mil elim or do you absolutly need a tune?

i like the power i have now (all stock) but i want a little more noise. i have corsa axlebacks. i dont really want to buy a tune cause i dont have that much cash to kick around.

let me know about your combos

you can run the MIL eliminators without a problem, i did. check into Pypes X or H for an affordable piece. (both are under $200)

well how does the h sound over the x cause i had a 96 gt with longtubes and a 2 1/2" x and it was a little raspy ... and the corsa's that i have on my 06 seem to be a tiny bit raspy at idle

oh and how much for mil elims??

I have FRPP Shorty Headers, Pypes Off-Road H pipe, and Pypes Violators axlebacks and it's awesome. It's a pretty throaty/gurgly sound at idle and even more so under slight load going through the gears. Floor it and it screams, very little if any rasp at all.

if you buy the mils at the same time as the h pipe from brent, he usually adds $50 for the mils. if you buy them separate, i thnk they are over $60

i have not noticed a big difference. it is close enough that driving habits come into play more than anything. if i drive a little more hwy, it goes up. i dont think you could say either way for certain if it helped or hurt, but i dont believe it hurt my MPG at all.
