You can see my choice in my sig - but I love the MAC sound as well. I'd say all of the above are great systems...sorry I didn't really help any :nonono:

    Thanks Pure!

Actually, you probably help the most. If they're all great, how can I go wrong? Just pick the one I want.

Thanks! I'll let you guys know when I get it installed. Probably put up some pics, too. Maybe a sound file or two if I can figure that out.

    3" or 2.5"?

OK. Should I go with the 3" MAC, or the Loudmouth?

I am assuming the 3" mandrel would probably be a little louder than the 2.5. Is this true?

I swear though. That Loudmouth system keeps calling to me with those shotgun resonators... I keep thinking it'll be louder than the MAC.

Ah well. I'll probably implode myself thinking about this so much. :bang:

I would stick with the 2.5" IMO. I am a fan of the MAC Flowpaths. I had Bassani, Flowmaster, and Spintech. The Flowpaths sound the best defiently with some cams.

Ya go with your gut...i got the magnapacks but i was thinking of slp...i have an offroad x pipe and between 1500-1800 it rumbles nice....there is a loud raspy bark to it when your on it from 2500-3000 then up top its not much louder than flows....your best bet also is to go to the track and ask around what people have..because hearing stuff online doesn't do much justice. Flows sound good and so do mack..but with your stock midpipe they might not be as loud as you want...slp will be pretty loud...so would one chamber flows.

I have the MAC 2.5 catback along with a Prochamber and all I can say is :hail2: :nice:. A very distinctive sound. You won't sound like all the other "Flowstangs" out there. Not that they sound bad. I just want to sound different from the rest.

    tough decision

I'm getting so much good advice about both the MAC and the Loudmouth. It's hard to choose!

The MAC is definitely cheaper. It looks to be off good quality now too since they stepped up their metal and coat it too. So that's definitely a plus.

I'm highly debating on the SLP though, because I don't know that I'll ever add a different midpipe. I might very well stay with the stock one. That being the case, I'm not sure the MAC will be as loud as I'm wanting. I already have Magnaflow welded in, so I'm wondering how much louder the MAC would be than those, with a stock midpipe?

If the MAC won't be much louder, then Loudmouth I will go.

    Made my decision!!!

    I decided to go with....

    ...the MAC! :D

The reason I picked MAC was because I've had Flowmaster before, and I liked them. Most of you were saying MAC was deeper than Flowmaster, so that sounds right up my ally. And, if it isn't loud enough for me, a catted high-flow X pipe will be on the way soon after. :nice:

Thanks to all for your help! I seriously appreciate it. And to all you Loudmouth folks, thanks for your input as well. It was a serious toss-up between the two systems!

I'll put some sound clips up when I get the new system on, which will hopefully be sometime next week. If I like the sound of the MAC's as they are, then I'll be going for the Diablo Programmer and the 4.10 install in a couple weeks.

    Signin' off.... :flag: :nice:

You definitely won't be disappointed. After about a week the mufflers will begin to burn in it will really awaken the system.

    SLP exhaust

I have an SLP Loudmouth on mine,...if you're in a parking ramp or garage, right when you turn the ignition switch and start it, it's LOUD....if u rev it, it basically sounds like the exhaust is popping and coughing....very deep and throaty if thats what yer going for....I really like it. Cruising....it's loud and you'll hear the rumble on the inside of the car....and especially in the inside lane of a highway by the barrier wall, echo is great. I posted almost the same question about 2 months ago on here, so thats why I'm posting....I'd recommend the SLP,..........
