Moving 07 Mustang tire pressure monitors

I'm thinking about changing wheels on my 07 GT. My local tire store hasn't got a clue about the new 2007 tire pressure monitoring system, so I definitely won't be using them for the change. Does anyone have any experience with moving the factory tire pressure monitors to either aftermarket or different OEM wheels? Did you have to buy new attaching hardware, or can you use the hardware that came with the factory wheels? Thanks in advance.

different wheels may not be compatible with oem tpms. you should call the wheel manufacturer to be sure that you can even use the stock pieces,m otherwise you just dont put em in.

The rim is is not a problem its the tire, you cant use run flat tires with the 07 mustang tpms. If you go with bigger rims you can put your sensors on the new ones. Discount tire has straps and cradles up to 22 inch for around $50 bucks for all 4. I put my sensors in a pvc tube at 32psi. Do whats best for you. I found out about the run flat tires in the 07 mustang service manual.
