Check out this Mr. Clean comercial http://www.savethechammy.com/ I personally have one. It works ok. It does leave a spotless wash. But be ready to do some scrubbing. The washer jets are not powerful enough to remove dirt and road film form your car. I found that in order to get the best results you need to spray the car, scrub with a sponge and spray again. Another thing I’ve noticed is that it does use a lot of soap. So be prepared to buy lots of soap refills if you intend on using it a lot. Over all it works alright for getting the dirty stuff off but will not give you a brilliant shine like you get form a drive through car wash. Wax will need to be applied to achieve that level of cleanliness. Just my .02 cents enjoy the commercial.
The other thing a drive through car wash will give you is lots of nice scratches If you are looking for a product that is going to remove dirt with just a spray on and spray off then you are going to be dissapointed as that is just not possible. It is always going to take some sort of mechanical action like a washmit against the surface to remove dirt. Even with a high pressure wash you will always have a film left behind. Really the people that the Mr. Clean Auto Wash is going to benefit most are the ones that don't have a garage or a shady place to wash their cars. It was not intended to replace the wash mitt. They still suggest you use a mitt to wash. It was intended to eliminate the need to dry the car. If you have the ability to get some shade there is just no substitute for hand washing a car, it is still the safest and most effective method.
