Need opinion on Spring replacement

I have a ragtop 1991 LX Mustang that has an issue with the rear tires rubbing when I hit a small bump when I have two people in the back seat.

I have Mickey ET drag radials (245/40/17) in the rear and I am not sure if the springs have ever been replaced (77K miles). I am not necessarily looking to lower the stance of the car, I just want to eliminate the tire rub when 2 people are in back seat.

Give me your 2 cents.
Peace:shrug:

Just an option, you could always buy some adjustable lower control arms so when you aniticipate passengers, you could bring the rear up to accomidate. Most adjustables advertise a 1"drop and up to 2" raise with a simple turn of a ratchet, that would work and quick on the fly adjustment
its an option
