I'm sure this is not the first post of this subject. I switched my '88 GT back to carb. I located an NOS throttle cable (E5ZZ9A758A) from Green's Obsolete Ford Parts. Howver, I cannot locate the bracket that anchors the throttle cable to the engine (E3ZZ9728A). I'VE TRIED EVERYWHERE I KNOW OF.
I read in a post search that a T-bird bracket will work too. Is it the same FoMoCo part number?
At this point in time, I'd glass bead and paint a used one if I could find one at a reasonable price. Prestige Mustang wanted $100 for a used one! I've called every local salvage yard. None have a '79-'85 Fox body 5.0L with an available bracket.
