That, and you can't port and polish a plastic intake. That BBK says it has some meat on it for porting and polishing, which helps if you plan on port-matching it to some aftermarket heads.

gives you plenty of time to save for a new hood since i highly doubt that is going to fit under the stock hood.

People are paying $800 for Bullit intakes and the like, and even ford only claims 5hp on the Bullit. I think it's for spray and serious boost man.

I think it's an excellent idea - they definitely sunk a lot of engineering and MONEY into this project. I doubt the final product would come to market if it's going to add 5hp. Also, if you can add horsepower and torque in the low end, then I would consider it to be well worth the $1000.00. Includes fuel rail kit, etc. With nitrous, this would be a PERFECT set up. You have the long runners to boost you a bit in the low end and then have the long and shorts open to provide extra flow with the nitrous at, say 3000RPM. This, to me, looks like an excellent product.

This was in the 96-04 Modular magazine (special edition from the makers of 5.0), as one of the highlighted products in the first few pages. I hope they're not just ****ing with us still, I'm sure it's not cheap to get your product highlighted in one of those magazines.
