Well I went to the track a couple months ago after installing my LTs and the best I could get was a 13.0 @ 102.5 but that was in hot and humid weather, so I knew I could do better with cooler weather. So last night I decided to head up to my local track and give my car another shot at a new best, but I also just installed some 3.73's, so I knew I was going to finally break into the 12's.

My 3 runs:

60' 1.717 < spun alittle (12psi)
330' 5.188
1/8 8.119
mph 84.11
1000' 10.651
1/4 12.790
mph 102.42 < shifted into OD early...i dunno why

60' 1.791 < spun more than the 1st time (12psi)
330' 5.293
1/8 8.225
mph 84.13
1000' 10.755
1/4 12.880
mph 105.21 < turned OD off

60' 1.880 < spun the most (10 psi)
330' .000 < right lane was messed up
1/8 8.327
mph 85.39
1000' 10.873
1/4 13.009
mph 105.32 < OD still off

All of my runs were on 275/50/15 BFG DRs on a 15x8 draglite. It was pretty chilly out (in the 40's), so I dunno if it was just the weather or maybe I need to step up to ET streets.

My car is a Auto 02 GT with pretty much all the bolt-ons and some weight reduction (no back seat, no sway bar...) Car weighed 3250 without me in it and 3410 with me in it.

I forgot to mention the 2nd time I ran my car I went up against a 500rwhp 03-04 Cobra. Believe it or not I beat him...he got a 12.5@121 on street tires @ 28psi compared to my 12.8@105. I got alot better take off and whole lot better reaction time than him. By the end of 1/4 I looked back and he was coming up really fast, but I barely managed to stay in front of him through the 1/4. If it was any longer than a 1/4 he would of been long gone. We talked to him back in the staging lanes and man that was a sweet Cobra. He had a Apten Ported blower, upper pulley, intake and who knows what else. He showed me the dyno and it ran 501 rwhp and about 460 lb ft tq. He also said that this was his first time out and just wanted to see what kinda times it would pull and that he was sleeping at the light. All in all in was a great night. I guess anything can happen at the track.

When you go to the track with your Auto do you shift into drive from neutral at a Certain RPM range or what? How do you launch in an auto?

I leave it in Drive the whole time. The only reason I am seeing such good lauches is because of my TQ Converter, Gears and sticky tires, but they don't seem to be sticking as good as they used to.
