Here is the plan. Will ordered 3/8" inch hub centric (for 2003 wheels) spacers from Ray who now does the "UNDY" spacers over in SVTPERFORMANCE.COM and if needed will grind the .50" IRS bolt head down to .25", after I see how the spacers fit. That is the plan will know later next week and post the solution. 7/32" spacers will not work for total clearance (on ground and if ever in the air). I was also told the GS-D3s are wider than most other street tire brands for 315s....I know these 315 GS-D3s make the NITTO DR 315s I am running right now look like thin "Ten Speed" bike tires.....John

I got the 275/40-17 and 285/40-17 tires put on my 17x9 stock rims last Friday. The 285 GS-D3 is about the same width as my 315 nitto 555rs. The GS-D3s look great on the car, and this morning I was driving to work on the interstate in the rain and they were kick arse!!! No more hydroplaning. They hook up better than the stock F1s and are great wet/dry street tires. The nittos hook better, but suck in the rain. I think I'll be running these tires on my car until Goodyear stops making them or they make something better.

Thanks for the suggestion Tracy. :nice: I'll post pics here once I get home tonight. :D

    Sweet Jason!
For the money, I absolutely love these tires. They're holding up very well for me...still lots and lots of tread left out back and I have about 5K on them. That doesn't count the 5k they've spent spinning. :D

Everybody says that. Interestingly enough, a friend just bought an earlier production run DSG 03 Cobra, and it must sit about 1" lower in the rear. His springs and my springs are stock. Strange huh?

I need the ground clearance, so it will stay stock height. I just broke 20,000 miles this last weekend (after 7 months of ownership).

    Pic #1 GS-D3 285 (17x9) vs GS-D3 315 (17x10.5)
    Pic #2 GS-D3 285 (17x9) vs BFG 275 DR (not mounted)

ALso, the 285 on the 17x9 cobra 2003 wheel (not sure if AFS or a stock one one I got) is 53 LBs. And the 315 on 17x10.5 cobra 2003 wheel (AFS) is 58LBs. The 285 is 11" wide and the 315 is 12.5" wide.

    Still waiting for Ray's spacers...

Thanks for the comparison pics. I may try the 315s on my 17x10.5 rims next go round. I have 25mm (1") H&R hubcentric integral lug spacers that I can use to get clearance. I may have to look into some thinner spacers though to keep from sticking the wheels too far out.
