been a mustang guy forever, used to have an 03 5spd gt in SB, but went to a truck for work purposes, but i got a company truck now and i'll eventually own the business so figured i'd go ahead and hop back in a mustang .

here's what i want some input on, just had a birthday and have a few extra bucks to spend, so im gonna get the tint done. thinking about going with 6%(yes, i want it dark) but still thinking about 15%

post up pics of your tint along with %'age, especially on white!!!!!!

20% - 35% seem to be the perfect tint for me.

I had 5% on my truck way back when and it was very dark at night and had trouble seeing out back when reversing.

Sorry, don't have recent pics of mine with the tint. It looks very much like 69mach's.

I've got 35% on the doors and 20% on the back 3. It's not to dark inside but it's also not easy to see through

I have 35% on all windows except the windshield. It's totally illegal in Michigan to have the front two windows completely tinted....you can tint 4" from the top down, that's it. I was pulled over once about 2 months ago (for tint) but he didn't ticket me.

Not only do I want to SEE out of my car at night (especially in the rain)...but I think it looks kinda cheesy to hide behind solid black glass.

To those of you that tint your head lights/tail lights....that's just plain retarded. Here's an idea....let's make it HARDER TO SEE at night and make my brake lights LESS VISIBLE in the daytime. :notnice:

    But....whatever floats your boat.

Ok....so I needn't worry about the douchebag with tinted brake lights that I can't see in the daytime?

    :nice:

You should get your eyes checked if you can't see the brake lights with a little tint on them.

Also, 5% on the back and sides, 25% on the driver/passenger windows.

I dont even know where to start on this ignorant post...

How is it cheasy and hiding when someone gets a dark tint? Some people get it because they like the look of it... Hence pretty much any modification someone can do to their car.

I don't know why I am bothering catering to your post... But I have my lights tinted out with smoke and my rear brakes are just fine during the day. Second, my headlights are just as bright too. So I would recommend you get your facts straight prior to starting a rant like that. But, I guess ignorance is bliss for some.

I think we should be more worried about the "douchebag" who writes ignorant posts.

Putting something that obstructs light on your headlights/brake lights....makes them just as bright as without tinted headlights/brake lights? That's interesting.

Modding your car for performance or appearance is one thing. But reducing the effectiveness of a safety device because it "looks cool" seems pretty retarded to me.

Let's take out the airbags while we're at it and put some on a chain link steering wheel....LOL

For the record, I have 20-15 vision and can see just fine. Some people don't know "when to say when" when it comes to their brake light tint and it's damn near impossible to see in broad daylight. I would be a bit concerned about the old lady not seeing you and getting cozy with your rear bumper.
