    Hello all,

I joined the forum recently in my effort to find information and read about personal experiences with '05 and up cars.

I'm a long time Mustang performance guy, but primarily with the 5.0s. My long-term project car which I've had for quite some time is a 94 GT, the car pictured below:

Needless to say, it has a bunch of mods, and if you're so inclined, you can see the full list here: http://home.austin.rr.com/dwoodall/modifications.htm

I used to be very active in the EEC tuning thing, however once I got the tune dialed in for this car, I kinda drifted from processor tuning and moved to other interests.

So why am I posting the 05+ forums, you ask...

I recently set out to replace my daily driver with an 08 Mustang GT. It took a lot of searching and negotiating, but I ultimately ordered a car about a week ago. I searched long and hard and had a couple dealer-trades fall through in search of GT with the spoiler delete option and in gray (not caring so much which shade of gray, although Tungsten would have been ideal). Finding a "spoiler delete" GT on a dealer lot is no easy task.

Anyway, while I'm waiting on my custom-ordered spoiler-delete vapor GT, I'm building a plan for the cosmetic enhancements I will do shortly after its arrival. Being that this is my new daily driver, mods will be limited to appearance mods. (For me, any performance funds are best diverted to the '94.) I very much like the appearance of the Shelby GT, and am looking to do a Shelby-like theme including the LeMans stipes, handling pack, a retro wheel tire combo and a few other tid-bits. Given that my '94 was a completely different theme, a function over form exercise (with the exception of the "bling" under the hood, which was my last addition), I know little about paint, vinly graphics, body add-ons, etc.

After I search through the archives for a while, I expect I'll have some specific questions for you as well as ask for your personal experiences.

    Thanks in advance, Daren

Welcome, nice 94...always room for new members. Post pics when you get your new one. As for stripes, if you can afford paint, go that route...:nice: :flag:

    Welcome! Nice choice of S197:nice:
There are enough posts here to have you reading for days on end on either performance or styling! It's not to hard to sink $$$$ into just styling...I know I sure have(more than enough to have paid for F/I)! At least performance wise, I'd suggest a custom tuner from either Brenspeed or Bamachips. That will wake up your car nicely and make it much nicer to drive for under $400!
