Welcome to the forum! You will find this to be one of the more helpful mustang forums on the web. A lot less haters on here also! What are your goals for your car? Get some Ideas and research them to death, then research them some more. Don't be afraid to ask opinions as well! Good luck!

Engine set-up looks solid, and the car looks awesome!

Might be time to do some suspension mods. to help plant the power you want to make.

thanks.i had a question about my car.i filled it up with 93 octane and i only got 150 miles off the full tank.i was wondering if u guys had any ideas.i was thinking it could be were it doesnt have a tune when all the stuff got done.another thing is i dont really get on it n it was most highway miles.just some general opinions would be good.also i had a foxbody that was liek this but had bigger injectors and bottom end was work and i was getting better miles off that car for gas.

if there is no tune on it you're probably pissing gas out the tailpipes.

Thats not true they are all the same. Minor difference between the 87-94 but they are all pretty much the same.

The engines are virtually identical. The only differences have nothing to do with the performance of the engine. The 94s were slower because they were heavier (usually simply because they were sold with more options like power driver's seat and Mach 460) and the computer is a little different. The computer in the 94' limits the low end torque a little more than the Foxbody computer to protect the transmission.

and 94/95 Computers are not harder to tune. Any tuner you go to that says that you should just turn around and walk out. I only bring that up b/c I figured that would be the next myth your friend would tell you about 94/95's

That's not good gas mileage at all. My last 347 had at least 425hp, and got 280 miles to a tank on the highway and about 220 miles to a tank around town. A tune should fix that. You are going to want to know your MAF calibration, and which injectors you are running. The injectors are color coded for flow rate. If a custom dyno tune is out of your budget, you can still get a decent custom chip over the phone and mailed to you. That's all I've ever had on my car. Other things that can hurt performance is sluggish O2 sensors. The O2s are designed to cycle, and when they get old they cycle really slow, and cause bad gas mileage. If longtubes are in your future, go ahead and get a set of O2s for a 93' Explorer V6 and the pigtails will be the right length.

The 87-92 engines have forged pistons. The crank and rods are the same. The hypereutectic pistons in 93'+ models are actually arguably stronger than the older forged ones though.
