new scam tactics

    check out this email i got today;

    Dear Friend,


    I am very happy to inform you about my success in
    getting that fund Transfer,I want you to contact my secretary on the
    information below.

    NAME; Mr. Mike koku

    es)

    Ask him to send you the total sum of($850,000,00) Eigth hundred
    and fifty thousand united states dollars in a bank draft, which I kept
    for your compensation. CONTACT HIM ON this email;(mikekoku556@yahoo.es)

    Also send your Name,address,phone,age,occupation

    That offer sounded waaaaay too to pass up, so would you send him a reply with all my bank info?

    My wife created an email distribution list called "Douche Bags" and whenever she gets one of these, she adds the sender to the list and then forwards the email to everyone on the list.

    I'm amazed that anyone at all falls for these things.

    I thought you said this was a new scam. This ones been going around for a couple of years now. :shrug:
