I pay $50 for my 15lb bottle refills, and this same guy who does my refills charges $40 for 10lb bottles.
WE KNOW! But what can we do about it. I have been told the reason for $4 a lb prices in Houston is because we have such a huge medical system and they get first dibs on all n20, even though medical grade is different then automotive grade n20, they get it when it gets into the state.
$2.50 a pound at Automotive Engineering The other places around here are $2.50-3.00 a pound Im gunna price out a large tank and get a freezer and fill my own bottles if its cheaper.
Nitrous is hard to buy in bulk sometimes and you do get ripped off from time to time. You need a pump, doing it by heating one bottle with a torch and transfering it into a frozen bottle can get you killed. There is a place called Camaro and Mustang Heaven over in Mobile Alabama, one of the guys there was trying to fill a bottle and used an acetelyne torch to heat one, it blew up and blew him to pieces and I cant remember but it either killed or injured another guy.
