purge valves take out the moisture in the line, so theoretically it would give you a cleaner shot for the n2o, so maybe more horse power. depending on your setup

No need for a purge, just use your burnout as your purge. Especially if you don't want someone to know if you have it.

Call SCT for a custom program if you want it to run reliably with no issues.

I have a NX wet kit on my 96 here is my opinion on what you need:
    Timing adjuster
NX purge valve/ bottle heater kit (heater makes a big diff so does the purge it gets rid of air in the line and after your done running you can purge all that remains out of the line to take the pressure of off the noids)
A second bottle (runs out quicker than you think)
Run 100 octane if you are going to run a 100 shot or higher.
Go atleast one heat range colder on the plugs. (dont use plats use irdium or regs)
    Set gap to .35
Slicks if you want to hook up (beware I snapped my axles with slicks off of the bottle)
    hope that helps you out.
