I have my motor out on a stand and I am replacing everything while i have it out. I am going to put a oil pump in it but I have a stupid question. I have replaced oil pumps before and have always primed them by putting oil in them first (motor still in car those times). My question is if i put it in while on the stand upside down how do i make sure it is primed when I go to start it for the first time. Can i just crankk the car over with coil wire of so it gets no spark? Or would that be a bad idea, whats the right way to do it?
