No matter what anyone says about the Hurst shifter for these cars.. they just look the part! I drove a car with one, and really liked the shifter. The looks just sold me. So my wife let me order it for Christmas (we don't buy eachother anything for anniversary, or birthdays, or Christmas), so I was excited!!! I owe her one now... I'm not allowed to **** at her for taking too long at Kohl's when we go. LOL

Did you get the tms deal? There is a guy on another board that works for Hurst that sells them for that price, shipped. He doesn't always have them, but seems like quite often he posts. That is where I bought mine from and a few others on here bought from him...

I think you are going to like it! It fits in with interior on these cars perfect... almost the short throw is nothing short of awesome!

Right on. Enjoy. We have the Hurst on both and love it. I wanted the notchyness that comes with the Hurst. I never miss gears and and the throw is very short. I could have had the MGW, but I honestly wanted something with positive feedback. The MGW is too smooth for my taste. I can still powershift, and that's all that matters. Plus it looks friggin' awesome.

Looks awesome!!! Where'd you get the Black knob??? I really like it!

I ordered it from Jegs. I like Jegs, and their shipping is really fast... and I've never had a problem with them. The extra money is worth it to me, so I don't have to deal with email only contact and small, here today, gone tomorrow sellers.

I got the knob from Jegs, actually. It's part number 530-163-0125. I got my first shifter from the guy on TMS. He was out of them for the second one, so I went to Brenspeed. Their shipping is always extremely fast, and Brent's a good guy. I kept the white knob in the '05, but wanted to do something different with the '07. I want to get a custom knob, but most are 2" or 2 1/4", and that's too large. I want something 1.75" like the Hurst knob.

i love the hurst. i also think it matches the interior. and i love knowing that i am putting my trans in gear. but at 6100rpm nail the clutch and she will go right into 2nd and third. good choice.

What size is the thread on the Hurst?

I have just replaced the boot with a leather boot from Redline but I quite like the trim. Where is that from?

I also found this site which has color-matched shift knobs: www.grabberpony.com

The trim is from SilverHorse Racing. It's their satin polished and anondized finish. Be careful with the grabberpony.com knobs. They're good quality, but they're larger than the Hurst knob. The Hurst knob is 1.75" and the GP knobs are 2". I Haven't tried one, but I did try a 2.25" knob accidentally, and it was ginormous. I believe 1.75" is perfect for these cars. 2" might be pushing it.

    That looks real nice!

I am only 24 so I am not to familiar with the older style shifter looks... I do like the stock look and since I installed the PRO 5.0 shifter... I was able to retain my stock shift knob and boot.

I'm only 26, but the Hurst old school look still is very cool and modern looking at the same time! Should be here tomorrow and I'll have it installed then also!

Personally, the stock shifter doesn't match the car. It looks like something out of a Ford Falcon from Europe or something. It has no throwback feel to it. The Hurst looks like it belongs.

Yeah, if the stock shifter was any shorter, you would have to reach into the tunnel to shift it. The hurst gives it some height and style.

the stock shifter sucks! it looks ugly too.. i dont miss gears too much at the track however i'm sure that a new shifter would make me more confident in my slamming.

    4:10 gears
    steeda control arms
