Very nice! What kind of prep work did you do to it and what kinda paint? Also. Did you need to get new valve cover gaskets, or were the old ones still in good shape??
Thanks. The paint is Plasti-kote (spray bomb). I washed the hell out of them then used green Scotch brite pads to scuff them. About an hour each, maybe less with the pads. I used a flat blade screwdriver to work the tight spots with the pads. Popped them in the oven just to warm them between the 3 coats. I let them dry overnight and put masking tape on them to protect the finish while installing them. I stuck the tape all over my furniture first so it wasn't so sticky as to risk pulling the finish off. The stock gaskets are reuseable, but you'll need a dab of RTV on the head in 2 spots where the front engine cover meets the heads. You'll see that. It's obvious where the silicone goes.
Nice! Went old school with mine to. Just incase you all need a write I posted mine here. http://www.bryanandrus.com/camcovers/
